Liquid Binary was an idealistic venture, during hard economic times for any computer and network oriented business. The people involved have proven themselves to be of great worth to the world and I am glad to have known them, but the company struggled to grow at a reasonable rate. The idea of working harder, providing real value instead of empty promises and hype, and giving customers tangible value for their money were good and proper ideas. Given a different environment they would have made a company. Instead they just made a line on a resumé.

Now Liquid Binary is a toy. It provides several things to several people. It provides a lot of things to me. I like to play, I like to rant, I like to shake my tiny fist in righteous indignation. I also like to provide value to the world and ask for nothing in return. It's not exactly working in a soup kitchen or building houses for other people, (I've done some of both) but it allows me to feel beneficial to the world in more ways than just holding a corporate job.

By day I am known as ED. A name so concise it could be confused with grunting. Written just so, it's almost a signature. By night I am known as deadshift. Staying up late because my head is full of things I wish to do before the day ends. Seldom satisfied with good enough if I know there there could be something better.

If my predictions of my immortailty should be proven false, I would like my epitaph to read:

"Struck down in the prime of his youth at age 97."
